Roy Moore — who has still not conceded the race for a Senate seat from Alabama — is reportedly asking supporters for a donations for an “election integrity fund.”
Moore’s campaign sent a letter to his supporters that seeks help in raising $75,000 to collect reports of “voter fraud” before Alabama’s secretary of state certifies the election later this month, according to The Hill.
“My campaign team is busy collecting numerous reported cases of voter fraud and irregularities for the Secretary of State’s office,” the statement said.
Moore, who was plagued by multiple allegations that he molested teenagers, lost the race to Democrat Doug Jones by 20,000 votes with 100% of precincts reporting.
His campaign is hoping that military and provisional ballots will pull the total to within 0.5% — which the secretary of state has said is not likely.
